REV. WALTER IVENS WORK IN MELANESIA (United Tress Asn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, Sept. 21 The death has occurred of the Rev. Dr. Walter I veil s, aged 70, vicar of Warehorne, Kent. Dr. Ivens was an authority on Melanesian languages. He graduated in New Zealand in 1893 and held many appointments in New Zealand and Australia. For several years he w*as travelling secretary of the Melanesian Mission.
