TENNIS MEETING
POWER BOARD CLUB The annual report of the tennis club of the Central Waikato Electric Power Board shows that the financial membership increased during the present year from 45 to 58. The club has 28 women members, an increase of 12. In the suburban tennis competitions the club was successful in winning the A Grade championship, and the intermediate team did well ir. its grade. The club’s annual singles competitions for the Brown and Ellis cups were won by Mr R. Kerby and Mrs A. Ferrabee. The following officers were elected at the annual general meeting:— Patron: Mr J. R. Ellis; president, Mr G. Hamilton; vice-presidents, Messrs W. A. Curteis, H. M. Baker, G. Russell, A. Webber, G. Jupp and W. G. Jockways; club captain, Mr A. C. Watkins; vice-captain, Mr C. Gillespie; secretary and treasurer, Mr G. C. Maclaren; committee, Messrs G. Hamilton, G. C. Maclaren, A. c! Watkins, C. Gillespie. O. Jones, R. C. Orme and T. Pascoe; delegates to sub-association, Messrs A. C. Watkins and G. C. Maclaren; auditor, Mr O. Jones; trustee, Mr G. C. Maclaren.
