OBITUARY

MRS ADA WALLIS The death has occurred in Auckland of Mrs Ada Wallis, widow of the late Mr Henry Arthur Wallis. Born in Auckland 75 years ago, she was the daughter of Mr and Mrs William Burton. She married in 1891 and resided at Okete, Raglan, where her husband carried on farming and flax dressing. On his death in 1930 she removed to Epsom. She leaves seven sons and three daughters. MR H. S. WRIGHT The death nas occurred of Mr Henry Sidney Wright, a well-known Taihoa farmer, aged 74. Born at Ashley Bank, Canterbury, he took up farming there. He transferred to Hawke’s Bay for eight years and then farmed at Hawera and Netherton before buying his Taihoa property in 1918. Mr Wright served on the Hawera County Council and was chairman of the Turua Drainage Eoard. For nine years he was a director of the Hinuera Co-operative Dairy Company. He is survived by his wife, two sons and six daughters.
