FINAL SALES

INQUIRY LESS KEEN BREEDERS’ BULL FAIR MARKET AT CLAUDELANDS AYRSHIRES MAKE TO 60 GNS Competition was not marked with the same enthusiasm as on the first two days at the third and final day or' the Waikato Combined Breeders’ Fair at Claudelands yesterday, when Ayrshires, Shorthorns and Friesians were offered. Bidding was fairly brisk over the early sales of Ayrshires, but was not maintained over the later sales. Altogether 109 Ayrshires, 36 Shorthorns and 19 Friesians were catalogued, but a number did not come forward. Bidding was restrained for both Shorthorns and Friesians, but many good sales were experienced. There was again a large and representative bench of buyers. The sale was conducted by the Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company. Ltd., Messrs Dalgety and Company, and Messrs G. W. Vercoe and Company. Messrs F. M. Harkness, F. B. Fearon, W. Paterson and A. R. Harding were in the rostrum.
