TROUT FISHING SEASON (By Telegraph.—Special to Times) ROTORUA, Thursday A denial that on any occasion had a postponement of the opening of the trout fishing season been considered was made by the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, when replying to a deputation at Taupo yesterday. The deputation stated a rumour was current that owing to the war the authorities intended to postpone the opening. An inspection was made by the Minister of river control work at Taupo to improve the water pressure at the Arapuni power station in the summer months. An assurance was given by engineers that the work would not in any way affect fishing.
