VALUES AT TE AWAMUTU The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Ltd, report: At their tri-weekly Te Awamutu stock sale conducted on Thursday, an average yarding of fat sheep came forward to meet steady competition from a fair attendance of buyers. Late rates were fully maintained. Cattle: The usual entry of beef and store cattle elicited a ready sale at late firm rates, store cattle were also In demand, whilst the advertised entry of yearling heifers created brisk competition, and although a number or the offering was not in the best or condition, bidding was spirited and a general clearance efTertcrt. Dairy Cattle: An average offering met exceptionally keen competition, heifers realising up to £l6. Pigs: A medium yarding or fat pigs met steady competition with values remaining unchanged. A large entry of stores and woaners sold freely at advanced figures, with breeding soxv« meeting a ready sale. Jersey hearers were very briskly sought and prices realised very satisfactory. Sheep: a small penning of fat ewes and hoggets elicited spirited bidding with realisation* on a par with recent sale*.
