REDUCED SERVICE
PASSENGER SHIPPING AUSTRALIA TO NEW ZEALAND WITHDRAWAL OF STEAMER (United Press Asn.— Elec. Tel. Copyright* SYDNEY, Sept. 19 ' Changes made necessary by war conditions will mean a reduction soon of the passenger shipping service between Sydney and New Zealand. One company intends to withdraw temporarily its passenger service, transferring its vessels to the Australian coastal service.
There will be less frequent ship communication with New Zealand, but liners remaining in the service will easily be able to cope with the number of passengers offering.
Inquiries made in Auckland last night revealed that the company to withdraw from the trade Will be the Huddart-Parker Line, whose motorvessel Wanganella maintains a service between Auckland and Sydney and Wellington and Sydney and Melbourne. The Wanganella calls at Auckland about once a month.
