STEAMER SUNK
GUNNED BY SUBMARINE (lulled Press Asn.- Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON. Sept. 18 It is officially announced in Dublin that a German submarine on September 4 gunned and sank the steamer Luimneach in the Atlantic. Nine of the crew, including the captain. have been landed in Spain. The Luimneach was a vessel of 1074 tons, owned by the Limerick Steam Ship Company. Bermuda has rent £IO.OOO to Er ta.n as a second contribution tc v : : J . the cost of the war, asking that the nv.ne.v be spent on two Spitfires, to be named Bermuda.
