SEVERE HURRICANE
HALIFAX ISOLATED (United press Asn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) • MONTREAL, Sept. 17 A severe hurricane has hit Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is cut off from communication with the rest of Canada. Surface winds of 70 miles an hour are reported.
