RETURN JOURNEY STARTS INCREASE IN FREIGHT LOAD (By Telegraph.—Press Association) AUCKLAND. Wednesday The American Clipper, which left at 7.30 this morning on the first stage of its return flight to San Francisco, carried 14 passengers and freight weighing 2401 b., of which about 901 b! came from Australia. This compares with 1501 b. of freight carried on the flight to New Zealand, 1001 b. of which went to Australia.
