STAFF PRESENTATION
LANDS OFFICER FAREWELLED A farewell was recently given to Mr E. G. Stainton, Field Inspector at Te Kuiti, by the Auckland office of the Lands and Survey Department on the eve of his resignation from the service. Mr K. M. Graham, Commissioner of Crown Lands, Auckland, expressed ! regret on behalf of his staff that Mr | Stainton was leaving the service after seven years, five at Hamilton and two at Te Kuiti, continuous service, which was marked by loyalty and close attention to duty. He asked Mr Stainton to accept a presentation from the Auckland office. Mr Stainton replied. On Friday night another farewell was given Mr Stainton at his office in Te Kuiti by a gathering of the staffs of the various departments. Mr Rossiter made a presentation. Mr Stajnton has resigned to take up farming in tlie Mokauiti district.
