OBSERVANCE IN NOVEMBER (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Thursday The King’s Birthday will this year be observed on Monday, November 25, according to an amendment of the King’s Birthday Emergency Regulations, 1940, which was published in tonight’s Gazette. It is also provided that the day will be observed as a statutory holiday. The King’s Birthday would have been observed normally on June 3. The holiday was postponed because of the urgent need for increased production in industry.
