AFTERNOON AT MATANGI

A pleasant time was spent at the Matangi School recently when a bring-and-buy afternoon was held in aid of the Red Cross funds. The various stalls were well laden with gifts of all kinds, donated by the children and their friends, and altogether the function proved most successful, the sum of £l4 being raised.

A feature of the afternoon was an exhibition of folk dancing performed by the elder girls, this being greatly enjoyed by the large number present.
