CAPTAIN’S REVELATIONS

HORE-BELISHA’S RESIGNATION STATE OF BELGIAN DEFENCES (United Press Asn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) NEW YORK, Sept. 11 Captain Liddell Hart, former military correspondent of the Times, reveals in a letter to his American publishers that Mr Hore Belisha’s resignation as War Minister resulted from protests by him and by Dominion leaders over the state of the Belgian defences.

These protests, he says, were resented in high military quarters and they provoked a controversy for a few weeks before Mr Hore-Belisha’s removal.

Captain Liddell Hart denies that he was involved in the controversy.
