ANNUAL DINNER HELD PRESENTATION OF FRIZES - I The annual dinner and presentation or ! prizes of the Hamilton Harrier Club was ' held in the Centre-way Tea-rooms rei cently, when representatives were pre- | sent from C.YJM. Harriers and the Ilam- ! 11 ton Athletic and Cycle Club. Mr R. I. Manderson presided over an excellent atj tendance. : In proposing the toas-t or “The Hamilton Harrier Club.” Mr Manderson reviewed ’ the club’s activities during the season. I The coveted Paterson Cup had been re- : tained against the visiting Calliope Club 1 with Hamilton supplying the tlrst two men ' home (R. French and L. D. Irwin) Dvr the tlrst time. Similarly the club had tilled the nrst two places in the Waikato Open C.C.C. (Irwin and K. ChiWy). The open teams’ race and the junior teams’ race at I the Waikato C.C.C. had both been won I by the club. Mr Manderson expressed admiration Tor the splendid, elforts of the i junior team who, under the guidance of Mr R. 0. Johnson, had trained -solidly and j steadily in an effort to win the junto* j teams’ race j List of Prize-winners I Replying to this toast, Mr F. A. de la 1 Mare stated that he was present at the - birth of the club and could thus recall ; each stage of the club's career. He was ! proud to see ■that a good proportion or I the club’s members were already in the - armed forces and that more would be in i khaki shortly. • Other toasts honoured were: “Brother i Clubs,” proposed by Mr A.
