MONTHLY GATHERING (Special to Times) TE AWAMUTU, Tuesday. The Te Awamutu Orphans’ Club met last night, Bro. F. Moody presiding. Vl«tt ors included Bro. Colonel A. E. Loam < Christchurch), secretary-treasurer or the Kindred Clubs Association. Bro. President G Hayden ami Bro. Vice-president Finch ot Hu* cam Bridge Club. During -the evening- Bro. Loach gave a brief sketch or the foundation or the Kindred Clubs Association am: or the present establishment or clubs in the Dominion, or which there were 4 0 affiliated with the association, with about 800 u members He referred also to the work of the clubs in Australia. Alter the supper Interval, the chairman gave a short address and Bro. President B. Malone took the opportunity or thanking members who had suj>porte,d the club during the very difficult year, and he asked that the matter of going into recess be postponed until the next annual general meeting. •Contributors to the programme were 'Bros. G. Ball (piano solos'-, Bert an« Harold Hey (humorous Items), Grlmshaw (violin solos), L. \V. Spence • magici, m. A. swarbrick and B. Malone (songs arid duets), accompaniments by Bro. hall.
