CAMPS INSPECTED
MINISTER VISITS HOPU HOPU The Hon. R. Semple, Minister of National Service, after inspecting the temporary camp at the Claudelands Showgrounds this morning visited the Te Rapa and Hopu Hopu camps. On his return to Hamilton Mr Semple said that there was no doubt that improvements were necessary to Hopu Hopu if it was to become a permanent camp. Mr Semple added that no decision regarding making Hopu Hopu a permament camp had yet been made, but he was instructing the Public Works Department to prepare a report on the improvements necessary so as to have everything in readiness if it was decided to make Hopu Hopu a permanent camp. Two Measles Cases Only two more measles cases from the Te Rapa camp were admitted to the Waikato Hospital to-day.
