REMOVED FROM POST

CHIEF OF INTELLIGENCE TIES WITH AXIS POWER CENSORSHIP OF PRESS (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received Sept. 7, 1 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 6 The Berlin News Agency stated that the Rumanian War Minister announced that M. Morusoff, Chief of the Army Intelligence Service, has been removed from his post. M. Morusoff organised a special information service for ex-King Carol, and was held responsible for the recent arrest of General Antonescu. The news agency also reports that General Antonescu has laid down rules for the guidance of the press, stressing the urgency of strengthening Rumania’s ties with Germany and Italy, “ who guaranteed the inviolability of her frontiers.” Rumania’s attitude to the Western Powers • and her immediate neighbours must be strictly objective, limited to the reporting of news.
