CONCERT FOR TROOPS
CAMP ENTERTAINMENT THE MEDIUM BATTERY Little time has been lost by the Hamilton Women’s Patriotic Committee in making arrangements for the entertainment of the troops of the 7th Medium Battery, New Zealand Artillery, who are in camp at the ! Claudelands Showgrounds. Last | night a concert party was taken to j the camp by Mrs N. Blomfield. ! The territorials enjoyed the concert | immensely and were very apprecia- : tive. The concert party was enter - | tained to supper by Captain F. M. 1 Yendell, officer commanding the unit, and the officers. The programme was as follows: Solo, Miss Val Porter; elocution, Miss P. Blake; song, Mr G. Wheeler; cornet solo, Mrs A. Matthews; stories, Mr T. C. Galloway; duet, Mrs C. Wilson and Miss Porter; tap dancing, Lorna Bridges; song, Mr R. Braithwaite; solo, Mrs C. Wilson; elocution, Lorna Bridges; song, Mr Galloway. The accompaniments were by Mrs Grant.
