IN ISOLATION
SOLDIERS AT TE RAPA OUTBREAK OF MEASLES ks*7L_ . RACECOURSE MADE A CAMP The Te Rapa racecourse was hurriedly converted into a temporary military isolation camp to-day when 600 troops from Hopu Hopu were transferred there. The men arrived only last night from Trentham, and it was found that four of them were suffering from measles. These four were immediately sent into the Waikato Hospital and arrangements made to isolate all the men in the contingent to prevent the spread of the complaint to the other soldiers at Hopu Hopu. To-day a further 15 soldiers from the draft were sent to the hospital and the remainder of the men, numbering nearly 600, were transferred to Te Rapa racecourse by army lorries. These men have not been affected by the complaint but as they are from the same camp it was considered advisable to separate them from the other soldiers. On the arrival of the troops from Trentham yesterday every precaution was taken to prevent the spread of measles. The men brought the tents they occupied at Hopu Hopu last night to Te Rapa to-day and reerected them there.
