BIG RUGBY GAME

MATAMATA’S VISIT HAMILTON REPRESENTATIVES PROSPECTS FOR TOMORROW One of the most important representative Rugby matches of the season will be played at Rugby Park tomorrow afternoon when the Hamilton representatives will meet the Matamata fifteen in a friendly encounter. Considerable interest is being evinced in the fixture. The Matamata team defeated Morrinsville by a narrow margih earlier in the season and Hamilton held the Morrinsville team at bay until the very concluding stages. Recently, however, Matamata surprisingly lost the Peace Cup to Waihi. Like many sports, however, Rugby is bristling with surprises and prospects cannot always be gauged from past results. Hamilton’s forwards may not be equal to the task of beating the visitpack and therein may lay the home side’s chief weakness, particularly in the closing stages when the Matamata pack will have a decided advantage over the tiring Hamilton vanguard. In the back- Hamilton may have a margin of superiority especially if it can secure a share of the ball. Childs on the Matamata wing may be the most dangerous back in the opposing side. Morris Cup inter-house competition games will commence tomorrow also. Teams Selected The representative teams are as follows: Hamilton Fullback: S. Brighouse. Threequarters: B. Paterson, C. Perkins. E. Nesbit. Five-eighths: J. Everest. L. G. Reece. Halfback: E. R. Houghton. Back row: T. Bremer. Middle row: C. Satherley, O. Barr, M. J. Johnson, J. Flannagan. Front row: R. Dick, W. Bowler, W.
