EMERGENCY CORPS SCHEME (By Tel^aTaph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Thursday Expressing pleasure with the enthusiastic support received from local bodies in connection with the formation of Emergency Reserve Corps and particularly the Home Guard throughout the Dominion, the Associate Minister of National Service, the Hon. D. Wilson, said it was quite evident that the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, had been most successful in getting the emergency precautions scheme established. Mr Wilson has returned to Wellington after addressing meetings In numerous centres in the North Island. He stated that nearly all the meetings he attended passed resolutions supporting the Government in its proposals, most local authorities had already taken definite action in connection with the formation of emergency precautions organisations, Mr Wilson said, and in several instances full committees had been set up and a complete organisation mapped out according to the regulations.
