Tel, Copyrlg-bi) (Received Sept. 5. 11.50 a.m.) BERLIN, Sept. 4 “We yesterday again bombed aerodromes in the South of England and effectively plastered the hangars and buildings, causing several fires,” says the German communique. “Air battles again developed, most favourably for the German bombers. “Last night we caused extensive fires in and armament factories, as well as aerodromes at Liverpool, Avonmouth, Bristol, Portland, Poole, Rochester and Middlesbrough. Further Fantastic Claims “British planes flew over Germany last night and attempted to attack Berlin, over which only one plane
penetrated. No bombs were dropped on the capital. Bombs fell elsewhere, but no substantial damage was done. “The enemy yesterday lost 62 planes, while 10 of ours are missing.
“A U-boat during one expedition sank six armed merchantmen totalling 51,507 tons.”
