NEW ZEALAND CUP WEEK (By Telegrapn.—special to Times; CHRISTCHURCH. Tuesday i*" f ’ a,an <l Cup meeting her will be the same as'for last 'year! but. a few alterations in the programme have been made. The Randolph Handicap, on the second day, will be for apprentice riders, making Jwo such races at the meeting. The Irweß Handicap, for two-year-olds on the second day, will have a minimum weight of <. <. instead of 7.0. The distance of the Members’ Handicap, run on the rourth day, has been increased rrom six to seven ruriongs, and nominations for the Stonyhurst Handicap, run on the fourth day, will be taken on general entry day, Instead of with the principal events, as formerly.
The Hororata Racing Club was given permission by the Canterbury Jockev Club committee to-day to hold its annual race meeting on the Riccarton racecourse on December 14, subject to the approval of the Minister of Internal AfTairs. the Hon W. E. Parry, and the Racing Conference.'
