JAPAN’S ULTIMATUM
REJECTED BY INDO-CHINA PASSAGE OF TROOPS REFUSED (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received Sept. 4, 3.15 p.m.) SAIGON, Sept. 3 It is officially stated that the authorities on September 1 refused a Japanese ultimatum for the passage of Japanese troops through IndoChina. TOKIO, Sept. 3 Japanese planes are permitted to land at Hanoi, on the Japan-For-mosa-Thailand service. Permission for such landings was one of Japan’s recent demands on Indo-China.
