WAR ANNIVERSARY
CELEBRATION IN AUSTRALIA LOYALTY TO BRITAIN 10,000 PEOPLE DEMONSTRATE (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) SYDNEY, Sept. 3 Ten thousand citizens gathered round a special platform in Martin Place, Sydney, today at a war anniversary gathering at which speeches were delivered by the Governor, Lord Wakehurst, and leading public men. The keynote of the addresses was determination to stand by the Mother Country and prosecute the war to a victorious end. From Melbourne the Prime Minister, Mr Menzies, cabled Mr Churchill assuring him of Australia’s determination and resolution to do all, bear all and spend all for “the success of our most holy cause.” “Your own inspiration and courageous lead, backed by the superb effort and steady temper of the Brit- | ish people, has moved us deeply, and we are confident of success,” said Mr Menzies’ message
