EGYPT CASUALTY

GUNNER BELIEVED DROWNED AIRMAN REPORTED MISSING AIRCRAFTSMAN’S DEATH The following casualty in the Second Expeditionary Force is reported from Egypt: Gunner Herbert Arrowsmith Hamblin reported missing, believed drowned as the result of an acident. His father is Mr G. A. Hamblin, 35 Hobart Street, Miramar. Air Force casualties announced are: Sergeant Lawrence Francis Mabey, missing in air operations. His father is Mr E. Mabey, Kelvin Grove, Palmerston North. The Minister of Defence also reports the death of Aircraftsman Kenneth William Sando, in the Christchurch Public Hospital, on August 31, following his admittance on August 28, when he was reported seriously ill. His father is Mr A. Sando, Auckland.
