Copyright) LONDON, Sept. 1 Many gifts for the purchase of aircraft continue to reach the Minister of Aircraft Production, Lord Beaverbrook. The latest gifts received include £SOOO from the Newfoundland Spitfire Fund, organised by the Daily News of Saint John, and the price of another Spitfire from the people of the Gold Coast. Among home contributions acknowledged to-day is £2OO from two residents of Sussex, who wrote: “Living as we do on the direct France-Croydon route. we have lately each day been witnesses of the wonderful work of our pilots and their machines.” Another gift is one of £l, being the first two weeks’ pension from a Durham woman, who has just become eligible for the old-age pension.
