BOMBING IN FRANCE
TWO CIVILIANS KILLED CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE DONE PORTS AND RAILWAY STATION (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received Sept. 3, 11 a.m.) VICHY, Sept. 2 It is announced that the Royal Air Force bombed Chartres, near which is a German air base. Two French civilians were killed. The Royal Air Force damaged the port and railway station at Boulogne and the port and airfield at Cherbourg.
