LATE MR G. LANSBURY

ESTATE PROVED AT £1695 PART OF UNIVERSAL LIFE (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, Sept. 1 The estate of the former British Labour leader, Mr George Lansbury, has been proved at £1695. He directed that his ashes be thrown into the sea off Land’s End because “although I love England very dearly and consider this lovely island the best spot in the world, I am a convinced internationalist and like to feel I am part of a universal life which one day will break down all divisions of creed and speech and all economic barriers.”
