SUCCESSFUL ENGAGEMENTS GOOD ACCOUNT OF ITSELF ACHIEVEMENT OF SYDNEY (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyrlg-ht) (Received Sept. 2, 3.15 p.m.) ADELAIDE, Sept. 2 The Minister for the Navy said stirring accounts of the successes of Australian warships in recent overseas actions have made it clear that the Royal Australian Navy is giving a good account of itself in an important theatre of war. The Sydney within three weeks successfully helped in attacks on the Italian stronghold * of Bardia and in the sinking of Italian destroyers, and clinched her winning burst by sinking the Italian cruiser Bartolomeo Colleoni. The cruiser Hobart and the destroyers Voyager and Stuart have also taken part in successful actions.
