House Surgeons’ Salaries
A recommendation from the staff and house committee, that the salaries of house surgeons be increased to £2OO a year for the first year and £3OO a year for the second year, was adopted by the Wellington Hospital Board at its monthly meeting. In each case a bonus of £SO will be paid on the completion of 12 months’ service. It was stated at the meeting that higher salaries were rJbw being paid in Christchurch.
