RISE IN DAIRY ADVANCES STERLING £24,250 HIGHER (By Teleyrspn.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Friday The Reserve Bank return for the week ended Monday, August 26, was issued to-day. The statement is balanced at £44,848,063, which is £337,222 more than the figure on the preceding Monday. The reserve of sterling exchange at £12,216,668, is £24,256 greater than the previous week’s total. Trading banks’ deposits are £598,001 higher, while the Government’s holding has fallen by £259,170. The note issue has risen by £65,528. The ratio is 33.391 per cent., compared with 35.557 per cent, a week earlier. Advances to the Primary Products Marketing Department have risen £130,187, while those for other purposes, at £23,440,000, are £200,000 higher.
