AMBULANCE WORK

THIS YEAR’S ACTIVITIES INTERESTS OF PUBLIC Since the beginning of this year the Hamilton St. John Ambulance brigade has treated 116 cases while i on duty and has attended to 12 cases while off duty. At present there are 35 active members available for duty. A recent report submitted by the chairman, Mr T. Parker, showed that brigade members were giving up a great deal of their time in the interests of the public. The Frankton brigade, which has 19 members available for duty, has treated 248 cases while on duty since the beginning of the year and 14 cases off duty. At the Frankton railway station ambulance room 79 cases have been attended, and 66 cases have been handled at the locomotive department ambulance room. The members of both brigades have taken a very active part in helping I the instructional classes. The nursing division has also carried out splendid work and has handled 394 cases. The private cases dealt with by the division total 115, and private nursing cases 20.
