EXPEDITIONARY FORCE DEATH IN ROAD ACCIDENT NAPIER MAN DROWNED (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Friday The following Expeditionary Force casualties were announced tonight: Private Michael Charles Talbot, divisional unit, died of injuries received as the result of a road accident on August 28. His mother is Mrs A. G. Talbot, of Masterton. Gunner Ronald Watty, Fourth Field Regiment, New Zealand Artillery, accidentally drowned on August 28. His father is Mr F. Y. Watty, of Napier. Private Talbot, who was a member of the first echelon, was aged 27. He was a prominent harrier, being Masterton Club champion for three years, and twice represented Wellington at the New Zealand championships. He also held the Wairarapa five and tenmile titles. Gunner Watty, who was also in the first echelon, was aged 22. He was a member of the Napier staff of the Social Security Department.

INTERNAL INJURIES ARTILLERYMAN’S DEATH (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Saturday It is officially announced that Lance-Bombadier. Percy George Oughton, sth Field Regiment, New Zealand Artillery, died in England from internal injuries on August 28. He was a brother of Miss G. E. Oughton, Everton Terrace, Wellington.
