AT THE STUD

LINES OF GREEK SHEPHERD GOOD WINNER IN DOMINION Greek Shepherd is standing at the stud at Huntly and there should again be a strong demand for his services among breeders. A beautifully bred horse, showing great quality and musculinity, Greek Shepherd was a fine performer as a three-year-old in the Dominion, his outstanding achievements including successes in the Canterbury Jockey Club’s N.Z. Derby Stakes, the A.R.C. Summer Cup, the A.R.C. Great Northern Derby, the Wellington Racing Club Autumn Handicap, the Awapuni Gold Cup and the Great Northern St. Leger Stakes. By Iliad from Dresden China, his pedigree reveals a wealth of brilliant performers. Iliad’s sire, Swynford, was the sire of winners of £233,125, including t Blandford, sire of the Derby winners, Blenheim, Trigo and Windsor Lad.
