PETER PAN’S LETTER
J)EAR GIRLS AND BOYS, Such lovely Spring smiles the Weather Man has been sending: us during: the last week, aren’t they little people ? And Peter has seen so many little folk with their mummies and daddies setting: out for jolly picnics upon the green lawns of the parks where the scents from the flowerbeds are truly beautiful. Peter and the Sunshine Girl decided that they would like to have a picnic too, so off they set with their picnic hamper well packed with goodies and Peter carried a nice bright rug too, just in case the grass was a wee bit damp. And when they arrived at the park such a happy scene greeted them, for there were little people everywhere having such jolly games on the emerald lawns. And such beautiful gay gardens were to be fonnd, for the scented Magnolia trees were just bursting into bloom and not far away gleamed the deep purple and white petals of the Japanese magnolias. Masses of golden broom seems to be everywhere and the whole world is filled with the gayest of gay Spring fragrances while the earth Is so fresh and garnished after a visit from Mr Rain. On Tuesday Peter received the loveliest bouquet of scented freezias and velvety red and purple anemones, whose beautiful perfume filled the office and Peter sends such bi£ “thank-yous” to all those little people who have been sending him these lovely Spring blossoms. And now the Holiday Ship has started its return voyage to the shores of Happy Schooldays and very soon there will be lots of little folk hurrying off to school again with their tennis racquets and cricket bats and bathing suits, ready for another jolly summer term. But here comes the Printer Man again, so lots of love to you all, with gay days and jolly picnics of your own. From yours, Awaiting-more-holiday-mail,
