ERROL FLYNN’S PLANS

TO BECOME AMERICAN MOTHER DEFENDS DECISION BELFAST, July 17 Mrs Flynn, wife of Professor T. T. Flynn, of Queen’s University, mother of thirty - year - old film star Errol Flynn, defends her son’s decision to become an American. She said today: “I cannot imagine why there should be so much fuss about this. If Errol were at home he would most certainly have joined up by now. “But he decided to take out American citizenship papers long before a war was even threatened. He has to pay both British and American income tax, and this costs him thousands of pounds every year. His derision will save him a lot of money. “He took out his first naturalisation papers two years ago. He must wait, I think, two years more before he gets the final set.”
