THAMES PROGRAMME
ENTRIES CLOSE SEPTEMBER 30 Nominations for all events of the Thames Trotting Club’s Spring meeting on October 5, close on Friday, September 20, at 5 p.m. with Blomfield and Co., Auckland, and at 8 p.m. with the secretary (Mr E. O. Brownlee), Mary Street, Thames. The programme is a comprehensive one, the chief event, the Goldfields Cup, being worth £l5O, including a trophy valued at £25. The chief events for straight-out trotters, the Omahu Handicap, will carry a stake of £l5O, including a £25 trophy, while the sprint, the Puru Handicap, has been catered fqr to the extent of £125.
