FOR SHE HOUSEWIFE
SOME USEFUL HINTS Do not attempt to move a heavy box or chest by lifting it. If a rollingpin or other round piece of wood is placed underneath, the box can be moved quite easily into position. You may use hot starch for stiffening traycloths, curtains, etc., but it is economical to use it cold. Make your starch-paste with cold water and add more water—not quite so much water as when using it hot. Stir well, dip in the materials, and iron them when they are sufficiently dry. Let the starch settle in the basin, pour off the water, and the starch may be used again.
