“Hawke’s Bay” Spitfire A Spitfire fighter bearing the name “Hawke’s Bay” will be presented to the Royal Air Force when £6500 has been subscribed by residents of that province. An appeal for funds for the plane will begin next Monday, and is being made with the approval of the Hawke’s Bay Provincial Patriotic Council and with the cooperation of municipal and other local bodies throughout the province.
