MATINEE PROGRAMME
AUTOGRAPHED SOUVENIR (By Telegraph.—Special to Times) AUCKLAND, Wednesday The Auckland Public Library is to have a much-autographed souvenir programme of the New Zealand matinee held in His Majesty’s Theatre, Haymarket, on April 15, in the presence of the Duchess of Kent. It is a special copy of the programme, autographed by nearly all the performers. The copy was sold by auction at the performance, the proceeds of which were to buy comforts for New Zealand troops, and was purchased for 10 guineas by Miss Blanche Davis, sister of the Mayor of Auckland, Sir Ernest Davis. She handed it to the High Commissioner for New Zealand, Mr W. J. Jordan. The latter has sent another similar programme to the Parliamentary Library. The 21 signatures include those of Sir Hugh Walpole, David Low, Dr. Merton Hodge, Leslie Henson, Hector Bolitho, Harry Rountree, Rosina Buckman, John Amadio, Hinemoa Rosieur and Colin Horsley,
