Copyright) WASHINGTON, August 21 It is officially stated that the American ship “Legion,” carrying' American refugees from Europe, has passed the most dangerous zone in European waters. It is semi-officially indicated in Berlin that Germany is not guaranteeing a safe passage for America ships evacuating children fi 1 Britain. A statement says:—“ v » belligerent can guarantee the gale.;/ of ships passing through mine-in-fested zones. Even Britain has recognised this by cancelling her plans for the organised evacuation of children.”
