DELAY REGARDING NEWS
REPLY TO CRITICISM (United Press Assn.—Elcc. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, Aug. 21 Replying to complaints, particularly from America, about the delays of British news of air battles, Mr Duff Cooper, the Minister of Information, said in the House of Commons that the German propagandists had two considerable advantages. Firstly, they had previous knowledge of when a raid was occurring and, secondly, their complete disregard for the truth enabled them to begin sending false accounts to America before their machines had reached England. He added that he was arranging to accelerate the despatch of news.
