TOURNAMENT SECTIONS PLAY-OFF IN EACH (By Telegraph.—Press Association) AUCKLAND. Thursday The final round of the secondary schools hockey tourney resulted:— Section A.—Auckland Grammar 7 beat Wellington Technical; Palmerston North 4 beat Gisborne 1; Hamilton 9 beat Auckland Technical 7. Section B.—Howick drew with Stratford (1939 winner). 1—1; Wellington College 9 beat Auckland Grammar B 7; Mount Albert Grammar 4 beat Wairarapa 3. Two teams in each section tied. Auckland Grammar and Palmerston North, nine points, in A section, and Mount Albert and Stratford, eight points, in B section. They will meet in that order this afternoon to decide who will contest the final tomorrow morning.
