Walter Robert Wells, was fined £3 and 12s costs in tlie Te Aroba Magistrate’s Court. Constable Parker, who prosecuted, said that Wells bad given a false name when first apprehended and tlie police had considerable trouble In locating- him later. For falling to observe the rig-ht-hand rule. John Marcy McLeod, a farmer, of Spring-dale, was fined 15s and costs 7s. The charge arose as the result or a collision between a car driven b.v defendant and one driven by Mr J. B. Menzies. of Manawaru. at tlie intersection of Stanley Road and Wardviiie Road, on July 20.
