Mrs L. M. Lipson, Wellington, was a recent visitor to Hamilton. Mrs L. J. Syms, Hamilton, is visiting Auckland.
Mrs S. A. Dye has returned to Hamilton from a visit to her sister, Mrs M. J. Moodabe, Auckland.
Mrs C. Goodman, Wellington, is visiting Hamilton as the guest of Mrs F. A. Young.
Mrs E. Dearlove, Te Aroha, was very highly commended in the class song by New Zealand composers at the Wellington competitions. Mrs Leslie Hobbs, Palmerston North, is visiting Hamilton as the guest of Mrs A. K. Hobbs, Claudelands.
Mrs F. Watson, Hamilton, is spending the holidays in Rotorua. Miss O. McLean, Hamilton, is visiting Napier.
Miss Vivienne Blamires, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs W. Aubrey Smith, Hamilton.
Miss Phyllis Goodwin, Waihi, is visiting her sister, Mrs F. A. Young, Hamilton.
Among the many activities of the Hamilton Women’s Patriotic Committee, which include sewing for refugees, packing and collecting material for soldiers’ parcels, dispensing comforts, organising functions to raise funds, and many other services, there is some work every woman is able to perform, and offers of help will be appreciated. McKendrick, Auckland, is the guest of Mrs Haliburton, Pokuru. Mrs Howcroft, Gisborne, is at present holidaying with Mrs S. G. Broadbent, Te Kawa. Mrs J. A. Thorlby, Singapore, is the guest of her aunt, Mrs Corden. Miss E. G. Davis is visiting her mother, Mrs W. H. Davis, Kumeu, during the school holidays. Miss E. Scarfe is a visitor to Hamilton and later will proceed to Whangarei. Miss D. Moir is spending the holidays in Auckland. Mrs H. Henderson, Te Kawa, has been visiting Auckland as the guest of her sister, Mrs W. Eady. OTOROHANGA Mrs M. Hilder is spending a holiday in. Takapuna. Miss A. Chisholm, Nelson, is the guest of Mrs F. Phillips. Miss K. Cumpstone has returned from a trip to Auckland. * * * * Miss M. Phillips, New Plymouth, is the guest of her mother, Mrs F. Phillips. Mrs B. Board has returned to her home after visiting Auckland. TE AKAU Miss Mary Gerke, Auckland, is spending a short holiday with Miss M. Kellow, Ruakiwi. Mrs D. Shaw, Te Akau, will leave shortly to spend a few days in Kawhia. * * * * Mrs R. Kirk, Te Akau South, has been visiting Auckland. Mrs J. Evans, Te Akau, will shortly spend a few days in Hamilton. MATANGI Miss Jean Campbell, of the Auckland University, is spending the holidays at her home in Matangi. Miss Yvonne Taplin has recently returned from a holiday at Paerata. Mrs W. Fulton and Miss P. Taylor are visiting Auckland for the New Zealand hockey tournament.
