WOMEN’S DSVISION
CAMBRIDGE BRANCH The monthly meeting of the Cambridge branch of the Women's Division was held recently, the president, Mrs Woodroffe, being in the chair. There was a fair attendance of members. A report of the quarterly meeting of the South Auckland Provincial was read. Members were asked to remind members and friends that the Red Cross shop would be in their charge on September 13 and to canvass for contributions. Much interest was shown in the various articles made from old garments, Mrs Woodroffe taking first place with a doll made from old stockings, and dressed from the scrap bag. The competitions for flowers resulted as follows:—Bowl of flowers, Mrs Woodroffe 1, Mrs Cornwall 2; best bloom, Mrs Cornwall 1, Mrs Woodroffe and Miss Marshall (equal) 2. The competitions for next month were decided on as follows: Single bloom (any flower), three daffodils, bowl of mixed flowers, posy bowl, six varieties of spring flowers (one of each). The hostesses were Mesdames Carson and Webster.
