MORE PROMOTIONS
THIRD ECHELON OFFICERS HOPU HOPU AND PAPAKURA A number of officers in training at the Papakura and Hopu Hopu mobilisation camps have received promotions. They cover all the third echelon units at Papakura, and also the 13th Railway Construction Company, which is training at Hopu Hopu. The appointments, all ranks being temporary, are:— 13th Railway Construction Company, New Zealand Engineers. Second-Lieutenants G. K. Armstrong, L. C. Malt, F. K. Roberts and A. A. Treloar to be lieutenants. 6th Field Regiment, New Zealand Artillery.—Captains C. L. Walter, J. M. Mitchell and A. T. Rawle, to be majors; Lieutenants E. T. Kensington, W. H. Thodey, P. B. Levy, C. H. Sawyers and J A. Bretherton to be captains; Second-Lieutenants G. E. Cade, H. R. Boyle and D. J. Robertson to be lieutenants.
33rd Battery, 7th Anti-tank Regiment, New Zealand Artillery. Second-Lieutenants G. N. Richardson and K. A. Longmore to be lieutenants.
24th (Auckland) Battalion.—Captain E. D. Closey, E.D., to be major; Lieutenant W. R. K. Morrison, N.Z.S.C., to be captain; SecondLieutenants H W. Brabant, S. Nicholson and A. C Yeoman to be lieutenants.
