DETECTIVE KILLED
MACHINE-GUNNED IN DUBLIN ARREST OF TWO MEN DISCOVERY OF AMMUNITION (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, August 18 Five special branch detectives who raided an apparently empty shop in Dublin encountered machine-gun and revolver fire. One detective was killed and two were critically wounded. A search of the shop revealed a large radio-transmitting station and supplies of revolver ammunition. Two men were arrested.
